Cem Murat YILDIRIM

Cem Murat Yıldırım graduated from the Environmental Engineering Department of Ondokuz Mayıs University. He completed his Master’s degree in Chemical Oceanography at the Institute of Marine Sciences, Istanbul University. He began his public service career in 1993 at Kartal Municipality. While serving as the Director of Environmental Protection at the Kartal District Governorship, he transferred to the Undersecretariat for Maritime Affairs in 2003. He subsequently served as the Director of Şile Port Authority, Deputy Regional Director in Mersin, and later as Regional Director in the same location. Following the dissolution of the Undersecretariat for Maritime Affairs, he was appointed to Ankara as a Ministry Advisor. After briefly serving as Acting Director of Çanakkale Port Authority, he was assigned to Istanbul as the 1st Regional Director of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications. He also served as a Board Member of the Directorate General of Dangerous Goods and Combined Transport Regulation and the Cyprus Turkish Coastal Safety and Salvage Administration. He currently continues his duties as a Ministry Advisor.
Eda ÖZBAYRAK

Eda Özbayrak, PhD graduated from the Environmental Engineering Department of Ondokuz Mayıs University in 1999. She completed her Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering at the Institute of Science in 2003 and earned her Ph.D. in 2011. She began her professional career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Ondokuz Mayıs University, between 2001 and 2003. From 2003 to 2017, she served as the Environmental Permit and Control Chief at the 7th Regional Directorate of Highways (Samsun). In 2017, she was appointed as an Internal Auditor at the Internal Audit Department of the General Directorate of Highways. She currently continues to serve in this position.
H. Cihan SIDAL
Cihan Sıdal graduated from the Environmental Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering at Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2006. He worked at Artek Engineering and Consultancy Co. for nine years as an Environmental Engineer and Branch Laboratory Manager. Since 2017, he has been serving as the Laboratory Manager at GT Global Technical Control Quality Inspection and Occupational Safety Services Ltd. In addition, since 2015, he has been working as a Contracted Environmental Noise Trainer at the Chamber of Environmental Engineers. In 2020, he successfully passed the Technical Expert Interview of the Turkish Accreditation Agency in the field of emissions, imissions, and instrumental analyses, and has since been included in the Technical Expert Pool.
Köksal SARICAOĞLU

Köksal Sarıcaoğlu, PhD received his Bachelor’s degree in 1991, his Master’s degree in 1993, and his Doctorate degree in 2002. He began his professional career in 1992 as a Research Assistant in the Environmental Engineering Department at Ondokuz Mayıs University. In 1997, he started working as an engineer at the 12th Regional Directorate of Rural Services in Samsun. Between 2004 and 2009, he served as the Director of Environmental Protection and Control, Director of Information Technologies, and Advisor to the Mayor at Gazi Municipality. Since 2009, he has been working at İlkadım Municipality, where he has held positions as Director of Environmental Protection and Control, Director of Project Development and Education, and Director of R&D.
Lokman ATASOY

Lokman Atasoy began his professional career in 2000 as an Environmental Engineer at TÜRÇEV – the Foundation for Environmental Education in Turkey, established by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, following his graduation. At the foundation, he served as the Antalya Coordinator of the International Blue Flag Program. He also acted as the Antalya coordinator for the international programs carried out by the foundation on behalf of Türkiye, including Green Key, Eco-Schools, Young Reporters for the Environment, and Learning About Forests.
In 2010, he completed his Master's degree at Akdeniz University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering, with a thesis titled “Environmental Impacts of Yacht-Generated Waste and Waste Management in Marinas.” In 2010, he served as a Member of the Board of the Antalya Provincial Representation of the Chamber of Environmental Engineers (TMMOB), became the Antalya Provincial Representative between 2013–2014, the Founding President of the Antalya Branch in 2014, and the President of the Antalya Branch between 2016–2018. Since 2018, he has been serving as a Member of the Honorary Board at the Chamber of Environmental Engineers Headquarters. As of 2021, he has been working as the Advisor to the Mayor and Chair of the Environmental Committee at Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.
Nazlı AYYILDIZ TURAN

Nazlı Ayyıldız Turan, PhD received the titles of Environmental Engineer in 1995, Environmental Science Specialist (MSc) in 1998, and Doctor (PhD) in 2006. She began her professional career in 1997 as a Research Assistant in the Environmental Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Ondokuz Mayıs University. In 2005, she started working as a Chief Chemical Engineer at the Quality Control and Laboratory Branch Directorate of the 7th Regional Directorate of the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ). In 2013, she was appointed as the Director of the Quality Control and Laboratory Branch. Throughout her tenure, she has served on various Acceptance Commissions and as a member of the DSİ R&D Scientific Committee. She has academic studies presented at various symposia and congresses, and published in national and international journals. Since 2019, she has been working as an Auditor in the field of Testing at the Turkish Accreditation Agency. She also participates in competitions as a League Representative for the Turkish Basketball Federation.
Nezir GÜNER

Nezir Güler began his professional career in 1993 as a Control Engineer at the Sakarya Provincial Directorate of Environment. During the same period, he obtained his Master’s degree from the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Environmental Engineering at Sakarya University. After five years in public service, Güler moved to the private sector in 1999, where he has been serving as a Report Coordinator in the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports for various sectors within the scope of the EIA Regulation. He also provides environmental management/auditing and consultancy services to institutions and organizations within the scope of the Environmental Management Services Regulation, as well as services related to the calculation and reporting of Corporate Carbon Footprints in accordance with the ISO 14064-1:2018 Standard.
Ayşe MIHCI

Ayşe Mıhcı graduated from the Environmental Engineering Department of Ondokuz Mayıs University and subsequently held positions at the Ordu Provincial Directorate of Rural Services, Drinking Water Branch; the Ordu Provincial Directorate of Environment; the Samsun Regional Directorate of Rural Services, Planning and Investment Branch; and the Drinking Water Unit within the Samsun Special Provincial Administration, Department of Infrastructure. She later served within the Water Treatment Department of SASKİ General Directorate. She is currently serving as the Branch Manager of Water Treatment Facilities at the Water Treatment Department of SASKİ General Directorate.
Senem ÜSTÜN KURNAZ

Senem Üstün Kurnaz, PhD completed her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral studies at Ondokuz Mayıs University. She began her professional career in 1999 as a Research Assistant in the Environmental Engineering Department at Ondokuz Mayıs University, and continued in 2002 at the 7th Regional Directorate of the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) as an Environmental Engineer (MSc). She is currently serving as a Chief Environmental Engineer at the 7th Regional Directorate of the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ).
Murat AKBAŞ

Murat Akbaş began his Master’s studies immediately after graduation. During the thesis phase, he continued his work at the Czech University of Life Sciences within the scope of the Erasmus Program. After returning to Türkiye, he started his professional career at DETAM Consultancy Ltd. as an Environmental Consultant. He later worked as an Environmental Engineer during the construction phases of the TANAP Project and the TurkStream Project. He is currently serving as a Senior Environmental Engineer in the operation phase of the TurkStream Project.
